Friodur ice-hardened steel
The blades of the knives in this series are made of Friodur ice-hardened steel. This is a type of steel only used by Zwilling. It is corrosion resistant, retains its sharpness very well and can easily be sharpened at home. Ice-hardened refers to the heat treatment of the steel. In the hardening process, Zwilling uses extreme heat as well as temperatures below 0 degrees in order to bring out the steel’s best properties. As a result, you get the best of the best!
The blade of this knife is enhanced with a ‘satin finish’. This is a chic and tasteful finish that is very popular.
