Description
5/31/22 – This is an original Japanese Type 30 rifle bayonet from WW2. The bayonet has late war features, such as a slab-side blade and wooden scabbard. The blade is maker stamped on one side of the ricasso, as shown. There’s some residue / old grease caked onto the blade, as well as some mild surface / scabbard wear throughout. The edge has a few mild nicks and signs of previous use but no major damage. The pommel is serial numbered and proof stamped. The scabbard has some mild cracking in the wood along the front and back spines, which is typical. No major issues and great overall condition.
