9/1/22 – This is a scarce Mauser P.38 variation from 1944 with mixed acceptance proofs on the slide.One of only 6,200 produced (q-block).All matching numbers throughout, with excellent finish on frame and barrel but slide is obviously worn on both sides.Strong bore with only minor signs of use.Good mechanics, including de-cocker.Very nice, original black grips with a few minor scuffs.The rig includes a total of two magazines, one WaA706 and one WaA135.Comes with an original ’44 softshell holster with waffenamt and ‘dkk’ maker mark.A previous owner or GI’s name is scratched on the inner flap, and the outside has been embellished with hand-done sunbursts.
