11/9/21 – This is a minty example of a rare commercial Mauser Banner Luger from 1937.There were only ~7500 commercial banner Lugers produced by Mauser, most in the ‘v’ and ‘w’ serial blocks.This is an original example in the ‘v’ block with matching serial numbers throughout. The safety and safety bar are un-numbered. This one has retained about 98% of its bluing with just hints of wear on the high edges and around the muzzle. Some very light surface scratches on the front strap. Unfortunately, the initials “ILS” are very lightly scratched into the left side of the frame. Comes with minty matching-numbered wood grips and a period-correct, properly un-numbered aluminum-bottom magazine. The rifling in the bore is fairly worn with pin-pricking throughout.
