1/3/23 – This is a minty example of a Remington Rand Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1943. It is “United States Property” marked, has the proper “FJA” inspection stamp, and has a cross-canon military cartouche on the right side of the frame. Proper High Standard barrel. The gun has retained about 97-98% of its original parkerized finish. There is minor wear around the muzzle and some minor thinning and brown patina on the front strap. Brown patina and a couple of tiny pits on the grip safety. Fitted with a set of very nice period-correct reddish plastic grips. Comes with one period-correct “S” marked magazine. The bore has strong rifling with very minor frosting in the grooves.
