Description
4/1/22 – This is a 1941 production K98 rifle with a period correct sling, sight cover, and cleaning rod. The rifle is in great overall condition which we rate at about 85-90%, with some honest wear from previous use and aging. The original wood stock is serial numbered to the gun, and is waffen proofed with a “L” Luftwaffe stamp on the right side of the buttstock. These Luftwaffe contract rifles are desirable. The metal is all matching except for the bolt assembly. Most of the wear is typical patina and finish loss – there’s no unsightly rust or pitting. The bore rates at 8/10 with signs of previous use and patina within the grooves, but strong rifling throughout. No import stamps.
