Description
10/12/22 – This is an original 1944 dated K98 bayonet with the original matching numbered scabbard and a leather frog. The bayonet blade has excellent finish throughout and no signs of sharpening. The ricasso is numbered on one side and maker stamped and dated on the other. The metal hand guard, pommel, and spine of the handle have some finish loss and surface patina but no rust or pitting. The scabbard has a few mild dents and dings on the backside, and has significant finish loss throughout the metal. The leather frog is unmarked but in great shape overall.
