Description
7/26/22 – This is an original 1944 dated K98 bayonet with the original matching numbered scabbard. The blade and scabbard are both maker and date stamped “44asw” on one side, and serial numbered “1854c” on the other. The bayonet blade shows some surface scratching, finish loss, and signs of previous use. The edge shows evidence of sharpening. The bayonet handle is in great condition with some mild patina on the metal portions, and no cracks or chips in the handle. The scabbard is in great shape with excellent finish throughout and no dents or notable flaws.
