6/23/22 – This is a nice example of a G Date Mauser Luger issued to the Nazi military in 1935. It is mostly matching, but the rear toggle pin and trigger bar are mismatched. It has the proper “Eagle 63” Nazi military acceptance proofs. This gun likely ended up with the VoPo or East German police force as evidence by its dark (likely dipped) finish, matching-numbered police-style magazine, and East German style numbering on the side plate and takedown lever. There is almost no actual finish loss, but there are some light scratches on the left side of the frame, some pin-pricking on the side plate, and dulling of the finish on the grip straps. The grips are hand-numbered on the inside to match the gun. The bore has decent rifling, but there is minor pitting in the grooves.
