1/26/22 – This is an excellent example of a late-war Arisaka Type 99 rifle issued to the Japanese military during WW2. It is entirely matching and has a completely intact Imperial mum stamp on the receiver. Unfortunately, the stock has been duffle-cut. However, the cut is directly under the rear barrel band, and the band holds the pieces together very well. Overall, the gun is in excellent condition. Typical of late-war guns, there are rough machine marks on all of the metal parts. There is an area of light scratching on the receiver next to the mum. The stock is excellent with only minor handling marks here and there and a more noticeable scratch on the right side of the butt stock. The bore is stone-mint.
