Description

7/28/22 – This is an excellent example of an Erfurt Luger. All parts are matching. It lacks Imperial military proofs, so it was not issued to the Imperial German military during WW1. There is no chamber date, it has an added police sear safety, and there is a Nazi-era “Eagle HZA” military depot marking on the sear bar. So presumably, this gun was issued to the Nazi-era German police force, put together from WW1-era parts. The entire gun has been restored and refinished – may have been done at an arsenal. The bluing is very nice with just hints of wear on some of the high edges. Comes with minty wood grips – the left panel is marked “S/42” (Nazi-era armorer’s replacement proof), and the right panel has a police “Star K” marking. It also comes with a mismatched Nazi military magazine. The bore has good rifling with very minor frosting throughout.
