Description
1/18/23 – This is an original Smith & Wesson Model 1917 revolver from early 1918, one of the first ~7,000 produced. It has the early hammer design with concentric circle pattern, and is accompanied by a S&W archive letter stating this gun was shipped in February of 1918 to Springfield Armory in MA.The gun has maybe 80-90% of the original bluing left but is difficult to rate as the sides of the barrel have patina on much it.The bore shows some use and minor frost.Good mechanics/timing.Comes with a few modern S&W moon clips.
