Description
4/1/22 – This is an excellent example of a “BNZ 43” Steyr K98 issued to the Nazi military in 1943. The gun is mostly matching except for the rear barrel band, handguard, and stock (numbered internally). The front barrel band and butt plate are not numbered. Proper waffen military acceptance proofs throughout. No visible proofs on the stock. The gun has retained most of its finish. There is light brown patina on the receiver and some spotty brown patina on the floor plate and trigger guard. There is some streaky, spotty wear on the barrel bands. Minty wood stock. The bore is shiny with good rifling, but there are some tiny pits in the grooves.
