Description
6/20/22 – This is an original 1st model Luftwaffe dagger from early/pre WW2. The dagger comes complete with an original portepee and chain hanger. The dagger blade is in great overall condition; clean with some mild surface patina throughout and a few small nicks along the edges. Maker stamped by Paul Weyersberg with a Luftwaffe eagle/5 proof stamp above. The hand guard and pommel both have some of the original bluing still intact, a feature that’s rarely ever seen on these. The leather handle is in great condition as well. The scabbard is excellent overall, and the hanger is DRGM stamped on the clip. The portepee is excellent.
