Description
7/19/22 – This is a nice example of a Remington Rand Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1943. It is “United States Property” marked, has the proper “FJA” inspection initials, and has a cross-cannon military cartouche on the right side of the frame. Correct High Standard HS barrel. The gun has retained roughly 80% of its parkerized finish. There is minor wear on the high edges and general thinning throughout. There is an area of pitting on the top of the slide toward the muzzle. Comes with nice reddish plastic grips – the right panel has a faint “91” rack number. Also comes with a period-correct “R” marked magazine. Excellent bore with strong rifling.
