Description
3/28/22 – This is an original 1942 dated K98 bayonet with an original matching numbered scabbard and a leather frog. The bayonet blade is dated and maker stamped on one side of the ricasso, and serial numbered on the other. The blade has some mild surface discoloration throughout but no signs of sharpening and excellent bluing throughout. The hilt has some surface patina and finish loss as well, but no rust or pitting. The scabbard has a black painted finish, but is matching numbered to the blade. The frog has no markings or stamps.
