12/28/22 – This is a very nice example of a BYF 42 “Black Widow” Mauser Luger issued to the Nazi military in 1942. It is all matching and has the proper “Eagle 135” military acceptance proofs. It is fitted with a set of period-correct black bakelite “Black Widow” grips – excellent condition no cracks or chips. It comes with an original Black Widow magazine. The gun itself has retained roughly 80% of its original bluing. The majority of the finish loss is on the grip straps and along the barrel. Minor wear on the side plate and side rails as well. A few very light scratches here and there. The bore is shiny with strong rifling but there is some pin-pricking in the grooves.
