7/22/22 – This is a nice example of a Beretta Model 1934 issued to the Italian military in 1940. It is all matching and has the proper “Crown RE” Italian military acceptance proof on the left side of the tang. It comes as a rig with a period-correct magazine and a 1985-dated holster (fits the gun well). The gun itself has a plumb-colored slide and has retained about 90% of its original high polish finish. The majority of the finish loss is concentrated around the high edges of the slide and around the muzzle. While there isn’t a ton of actual finish loss, there are some areas of discoloration on both sides of the slide and heavy oxidation on the grip straps. Very nice black bakelite grips. The bore has good rifling but there are some areas of minor pitting.
