Description
9/14/22 -This is a very nice example of a Mauser Luger issued to the Nazi military in 1938. The gun is mostly matching except for the rear toggle pin. It has the proper “Eagle 63” military acceptance proofs. This gun eventually ended up with the VoPo or East German police force, as evidence by its dark “dipped” finish, East German style numbering on some of the parts, post-war VoPo plastic grips, and post-war matching-numbered magazine. There is almost no actual finish loss, but there is obvious pin-pricking along the barrel and on both grip straps. The rifling in the bore is fairly worn with noticeable pin-pricking in the grooves.
