3/30/22 – This is a very nice example of a Spandau Gewehr 98 rifle issued to the Imperial German military in 1916. The gun is mostly matching except for the bolt assembly and base of the rear sight. The stock, butt plate, and barrel bands are un-numbered. The stock appears to have been replaced. Generally, are areas of thinning on light brown patina on the receiver and floor plate/trigger assembly. Tiny scratches and handling marks along the barrel. The butt plate appears to have been buffed. The bore has good rifling with very minor pin-pricking throughout. Comes with an excellent reproduction leather sling.
