Silver Bear ammunition is an affordable line of range loads from the Barnaul Machine Plant in Russia. These .45 ACP cartridges come in a bulk case of 500 and can save you some serious money on shooting this notoriously expensive caliber.
Each round in this case fires a heavy 230 grain full metal jacket bullet at 886 feet per second, producing typical .45 Auto ballistics and good accuracy at normal pistol shooting distances.
Silver Bear ammo’s price advantage is mostly due to its use of zinc-plated steel cases. Though not reloadable, steel cases are sturdy and inexpensive to manufacture and are widely used by high volume shooters. This ammo uses non-corrosive Berdan primers.
