The HK45 Compact is the compact-frame model in the HK45 line, using a 3.94 inch barrel and a slim-line grip. It is shorter in barrel and slide than the standard HK45 but otherwise functionally identical.
The V1 designation refers to the trigger group: double action/single action with a combination safety and decocking lever on the left side of the frame.
The barrel is black steel with polygonal rifling for extended barrel life and accuracy. The HK45C can also be fitted with a threaded barrel for a muzzle-mounted suppressor.
HK’s internal mechanical recoil reduction system reduces recoil forces to the weapon and shooter by as much as 30 percent, improving control during rapid fire and increasing component service life.
The slide is serrated steel. The frame is polymer with a MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail and interchangeable backstraps. Controls are ambidextrous with dual slide releases and an enlarged magazine release.
Chambered in .45 ACP at 8+1, supplied with two 8-round magazines.
