The Terminal Ascent is a true match grade projectile. Its blue Slipstream tip creates impressively little drag as it pierces the air. Its AccuChannel groove technology similarly combats drag. The Terminal Ascent’s long, aerodynamic profile and boat tail also contribute to the 200 grain bullet’s abnormally high 0.608 G1 (0.304 G7) ballistic coefficient. The bullet conserves its momentum so effectively that it reaches 500 yards with nearly 2,000 ft lbs of kinetic energy!
The Slipstream tip also serves to catalyze terminal expansion. In fact, it initiates expansion at velocities 200 fps lower than other comparable polymer tipped bullets. The Terminal Ascent’s rugged copper shank is fully bonded to its alloyed lead core, thus equipping the bullet to achieve deep penetration at virtually any range.
This long-range hunting round is designed to survive passage through damp wilderness. Its Boxer-primed brass case is nickel plated for added corrosion resistance, as well as smoother feeding and extraction in all hunting rifles.
