This ammo is made in America by the Arms Corporation of the Philippines. It is loaded with 55 grain full metal jackets, which you probably recognize as the most popular bullet for the 223 Remington. The FMJ features a gilding metal jacket and lead core, which together make it just as nonmagnetic as a baloney sandwich (assuming that the baloney sandwich also contains no steel).
Each FMJ further includes a cannelure, which simply helps to prevent the bullet from shifting out of place while recoil jerks it around in the magazine. This round’s bullet will strike a target at close range with over three times the kinetic energy recommended for personal protection – but it will not expand if it penetrates a soft medium.
Armscor’s nonmagnetic ammunition is also noncorrosive. These recently manufactured cartridges are decked out with the consistent Boxer primers and clean-burning propellant charges any 5.56×45 or 223 Rem rifle needs to run reliably, and their brass cases are absolutely reloadable.
