If you’re in the market for a compact LPVO, the Vector OpticsVictoptics ZOD 1-4×20 LPVO Riflescope should be in your sights! A uniquely short and light alternative to ever-popular Low Power Variable Optics (LPVOs), Vector’s ZOD is about as small and light as it gets, ideal for skirmishers with high agility or platforms with limited rail space available.

The ZOD is fully adjustable for windage and elevation via tool-less adjustment turrets, allowing you to easily adjust on the fly in case conditions change. The fast focus dial at the rear allows you to clarify the image at different ranges and set the scope to suit your eye perfectly.

The set includes a “killflash” ARD to keep glare away, a pair of rubber lens caps, a cleaning cloth and apair of 25mm monotube scope rings for 20mm Picatinny rails, making the ZOD ready to mount on any 20mm railed platform. If you’re working on a multi-role build and need an optic to suit, the Vector Optics Victoptics ZOD 1-4×20 LPVO Riflescope is a solid choice! Offeringvariable magnification between 1x and 4x via the magnification dial surrounding the eyepiece at the rear, this LPVO is far smaller and lighter than others, making it ideal for mobile playstyles and platforms with limited rail space.

The magnification dial is at the front of what is known as the “eye bell”, the widened section at the rear of the scope. Mounted to the magnification dial, we are treated to a “rat tail” style lever extension, which offers an even faster and easier adjustment whilst wearing gloves, ensuring you can keep pace with the rapidly changing skirmish environment. Available magnification ranges from 1x to 4x, giving you a versatile optic well suited to Airsoft engagement ranges.

Included with the non-illuminated variant of the ZOD, we’re treated to what is known as a “killflash” or ARD (anti-reflection device). The ARD prevents reflections from giving your position away and also prevents sunlight from causing glare for the shooter. It will also provide limited protection from BBimpacts, but is unlikely to survive more than a single hit. As such, we recommend running a lens protector even if you have your ARD mounted.

The set also includes a pair of 25mm monotube scope rings for 20mm Picatinny rails, meaning the ZOD is ready to mount, with no additional hardware needed. Having a 25mm diameter monotube also means you can use aftermarket dual ring mounts and scope rings of various heights, meaning if the included rings don’t suit your needs, you’re not short of alternatives.

Offering brilliant mid to long-range capabilities with an excellent 105mm of eye relief, the ZOD is the ideal optic for a DMR or accurised assault rifle setup, ensuring your build stays versatile and able to handle threats at different ranges. Having the option to run 1x magnification is useful for engaging sudden threats at close range, offering red dot sight-like engagement speed with the added bonus of being able to zoom in to 4x and vanquish more distant threats.

Windage and elevation adjustments are applied via the adjustment turrets on the right side and top, respectively. These turrets provide a satisfying tactile click when turned, ensuring your adjustments are precise. These turrets retain their settings well due to their sturdy alloy construction, allowing you to perfectly zero your scope to ensure you have dominating performance out on the battlefield.

At the rear, we have what is known as the “fast focus dial”, which allows you to adjust image clarity for different ranges and tune the optic to suit your eye. If you’re taking a long-range shot and find the image is blurry, turn the dial to sharpen the image. Likewise, if you’ve been viewing a long-range objective and turn to engage a target at close range, a quick turn of the dial will give you a perfect view of your target.

If you’re struggling to choose between a riflescope and a red dot sight, this LPVO is the perfect happy medium.
