3/16/22 – This is a near-mint example of a Smith & Wesson Safety Hammerless 5th Model revolver manufactured in the early 1900’s. The gun is all matching, fully functional, and the action is very smooth. It has retained virtually all of its original bright bluing and has beautiful case-hardening on the trigger. While there is next-to-no actual finish loss, there are areas with tiny dots of reddish discoloration at the back of the frame and on the grip straps. There is just the faintest hint of a roll mark on the cylinder. Comes with excellent wood grips – there is a notch carved into the very bottom of each panel. The bore is near-mint.
